GENERAL CARE SERVICES
ROUTINE CARE
Dental Solutions for the Whole Family
We are proud to provide superior dental attention for patients of all ages. Whether you are visiting our Corona del Mar office for a routine cleaning, cosmetic dental work, or you are bringing a child in for their first dental experience, you can be assured of receiving the pinnacle of dental care and personal attention. We have satisfied patients of all ages throughout Orange County.
If you do not show signs of gingivitis (in which case, you’d need a deep cleaning), a regular dental cleaning may follow your checkup. At a cleaning, our hygienist will remove plaque and tartar from your teeth, examine your gums, and provide tips for home hygiene.
In addition to cleaning our patients’ teeth, another essential aspect to biannual check-ups is the oral examination. During exams, we are able to diagnose any dental problems patients may have, from broken or decayed teeth to the precursors of periodontal disease. At our practice, we are proud to employ the latest in diagnostic dental technology. Tools like intraoral cameras and all-digital x-rays allow us to conduct painless oral examinations for our patients, and to diagnose any problems they may have safely and accurately.
Preventive Care
Tooth decay and children no longer have to go hand-in-hand. At our Orange County office, we are most concerned with all aspects of preventive care, and this is especially important when dealing with children. We use the latest in sealant technology to protect your child’s teeth. Sealants are space-age plastics that are bonded to the chewing surfaces of decay prone back teeth. While sealants are an important way to protect your child’s teeth, educating him or her on the necessity of vigilant oral healthcare is absolutely crucial. This is why, at our dental practice, we always take the extra time to make sure our younger patients understand how to properly brush and floss their teeth. It is our sincere wish to promote a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums for all of our patients.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer screenings are a very important part of the dental visit for the patient. With the advances in modern technology, we are now able to pinpoint the start of a potential problem much earlier in its evolution. The ability to do so is extremely important in being able to treat any issues prior to them becoming a major irreversible problem. The oral cancer screening is often completed with an ultraviolet light or similar device that allows us to view issues that can’t always be detected by the human eye under normal conditions.
Certain lifestyle choices can have a great impact on the health of tissues and your overall health in the mouth. If you are a smoker or heavy drinker, make sure to get regular screenings when you visit the dentist.
