Most oral surgery does not need a referral across town. Extractions, wisdom teeth, grafting, and implant site preparation are performed in this office, by the dentist who already knows your mouth and will be restoring it afterward.

That continuity matters more than it sounds. When the same doctor plans the surgery and the restoration that follows, the socket gets grafted with the eventual implant in mind, and nothing falls through the gap between two practices.

Simple and surgical removal of teeth that are fractured, decayed beyond repair, or compromised by advanced gum disease.

Wisdom teeth removal

Impacted and erupted third molars, planned from a 3D scan so nerve and sinus position are known before we begin.

Socket preservation grafting

Grafting the site at the time of extraction to hold ridge volume, which keeps an implant straightforward later instead of complicated.

Bone grafting & ridge augmentation

Rebuilding width and height in a ridge that has already resorbed, so there is enough bone to place into.

Creating vertical bone height in the upper jaw where the sinus floor sits too low for an implant.

What we do at the moment a tooth comes out

An empty socket starts losing bone almost immediately, and the ridge can lose a third of its width in the first few months. That single fact drives how we handle extractions: wherever an implant might be wanted later, we graft the socket at the same appointment.

It adds very little to the visit and it protects your options. Patients who skip it frequently need a separate, more involved grafting surgery before an implant becomes possible at all.

Comfort during, and a recovery that behaves

Surgical appointments are done under local anesthetic, with oral sedation or moderate IV sedation available for anyone who would rather not remember the details. Noise-reduction headphones and sunglasses are there for the asking.

You go home with written aftercare instructions, the medication you need, and a direct line to the office. Most patients are comfortable on over-the-counter pain relief within a couple of days.

Do I need to be referred to an oral surgeon?

For most cases, no. Extractions, wisdom teeth, grafting, and sinus lifts are done in this office. If a case genuinely calls for a hospital setting or a specialist’s particular expertise, we will tell you plainly and help arrange it.

How long is recovery after a tooth extraction?

The first two to three days are the notable ones, with soreness and swelling that peak around day two. Most patients return to normal routines the next day and to normal eating within a week. Surgical extractions and impacted wisdom teeth take a little longer.

Will I be asleep for the procedure?

We offer oral sedation and moderate IV sedation, which leave most patients relaxed, drowsy, and remembering very little. General anesthesia is not used in the office; if a case requires it, we will arrange the appropriate setting.

Should I replace an extracted tooth right away?

Not immediately, but do not leave it indefinitely. Bone shrinks where a root used to be and neighboring teeth drift into the space. Grafting the socket at extraction buys you time and keeps an implant simple when you are ready.

Do you remove wisdom teeth for teenagers?

Yes. Late teens and early twenties is often the ideal window — roots are not yet fully formed and healing is fast. We plan every case from a 3D scan first.
