01Benefits

Why patients choose All-on-4.

All-on-4 replaces an entire arch of missing or failing teeth with a fixed bridge anchored on four implants. It is the closest thing dentistry has to getting your own teeth back.

Fixed, not removable

Your new teeth are secured to implants and stay in. No adhesives, no slipping, nothing to take out at night.

Eat what you love again

Implants carry bite force through the jawbone, so steak, apples, and corn on the cob are back on the menu.

Often avoids bone grafting

Angling the back two implants makes the most of the bone you already have, which frequently avoids a separate grafting surgery.

A natural-looking smile

Each arch is designed for your face — tooth shape, shade, and lip support — so it looks like a smile, not a denture.

Protects your facial structure

Implants put load back into the jaw, helping slow the bone loss that causes the sunken look of long-term denture wear.

Fewer surgeries, faster results

An entire arch is rebuilt on just four implants, and many patients leave the surgical visit with a provisional set of fixed teeth.

02The treatment

What are All-on-4 dental implants?

All-on-4 is a full-arch dental implant treatment that replaces every tooth in the upper or lower jaw with a single fixed bridge, supported by four strategically placed implants. Instead of one implant per tooth, the arch is carried by a stable four-point foundation.

The two front implants are placed straight. The two back implants are tilted up to 45 degrees, which lets them engage denser bone toward the front of the jaw and steer clear of the sinuses and nerves. That angle is what lets many patients with bone loss avoid grafting and receive teeth sooner.

Once the implants are in, a custom full-arch bridge is attached to them. You brush and care for it much like natural teeth, and only your dental team can remove it.

03Your implant doctor

Meet Dr. Zak Polonus, DDS MS.

Implants and full-arch reconstruction are the heart of Dr. Polonus’s surgical practice. He is an implantologist who handles the entire All-on-4 case himself: the 3D scans and planning, any extractions, the surgical placement, and the final restoration. You are not referred across town halfway through and handed back to a different team.

He trained at the USC School of Dentistry — where he also completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees — and finished his residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His approach treats oral health as inseparable from overall health, and he restores function first, then makes it look right.

04Treatment process

Your journey to a complete new smile.

Five clear steps, one doctor, and the same team from your first visit to your final smile.

  1. 1

    Comprehensive consultation

An unhurried visit with Dr. Polonus to review your goals, medical history, and current teeth or dentures — plus a written plan with real numbers.

  2. 2

    Advanced 3D treatment planning

Cone beam 3D imaging and digital scans map your bone, nerves, and sinuses, so every implant’s position and angle is planned before surgery.

  3. 3

    Implant placement

Any failing teeth are removed and four implants are placed in one guided surgical visit, with oral or IV sedation available for comfort.

  4. 4

    Healing and final restoration

A provisional arch lets you smile while the implants fuse with the bone. After healing, your final custom bridge is fitted and your bite balanced.

  5. 5

    Long-term care and maintenance

Regular cleanings and check-ups keep your implants and gums healthy, so your new smile lasts for decades.

Your first step is a consultation.

All-on-4 Dental Implants: frequently asked questions

How much do All-on-4 dental implants cost in Corona del Mar?

+

All-on-4 treatment at Corona del Mar Dental is $20,000 per arch, or $40,000 to restore both the upper and lower arches. After your consultation and 3D scan you receive a written treatment plan and cost before you commit to anything.

Do you offer financing for All-on-4?

+

Yes. We offer financing options that let you spread the cost of treatment into monthly payments, and most patients can also apply HSA or FSA funds. Our front desk will walk you through the options at your consultation, or call (949) 675-3131 to ask ahead of time.

Does dental insurance cover All-on-4?

+

Dental insurance rarely covers the full cost, but many plans contribute toward parts of treatment such as extractions, implants, or the final restoration. We check your benefits and tell you what your plan is expected to pay before treatment begins.

Am I a candidate for All-on-4 dental implants?

+

You may be a good candidate if you are missing most of your teeth, have many failing or broken teeth, or wear dentures you are unhappy with. Because the rear implants are angled into existing bone, many patients who were told they lacked enough bone for implants still qualify. A consultation and 3D scan confirm it.

Can I get All-on-4 if I have bone loss?

+

Often, yes. All-on-4 was designed for jaws that have lost bone. Tilting the back implants lets them anchor into denser bone at the front of the jaw, which frequently avoids a separate bone graft.

Will I leave with teeth the same day?

+

In many cases, yes. When the implants are stable enough at placement, a provisional fixed arch can be attached the same day so you are never without teeth. Your final arch is fitted once the implants have healed.

What is recovery like after All-on-4?

+

Most patients take a few days off work. Expect some swelling and soreness for the first week, managed with prescribed or over-the-counter medication, and a soft-food diet while the implants heal. Full integration with the bone takes roughly three to six months.

Does the All-on-4 procedure hurt?

+

Implant placement is performed under local anesthesia, and oral or IV sedation is available in our office so you can be relaxed or sleep through the procedure. Most patients say the recovery was easier than they expected.

How long do All-on-4 dental implants last?

+

The implants are designed to last a lifetime with good home care and regular professional maintenance. The bridge attached to them is the wearing part and may need to be refreshed or replaced after many years of use.

What is the difference between All-on-4 and dentures?

+

Traditional dentures rest on the gums and are removed daily; they can slip, limit what you eat, and do nothing to stop bone loss. All-on-4 teeth are fixed to implants in the jaw, stay in place, restore much more biting strength, and help preserve the bone.
